It’s that time of year when cold weather, wind and a tendency to drink less water can really wreak havoc with our skin. Dry, flaky, itchy skin anyone? It’s often this time of year too that we get run down which can also cause break outs, cold sores and dry skin around the nose and lips. Luckily! We have organic, non-toxic hydrating goodness at the ready! Here are our favourite ways to keep our skin hydrated and glowing throughout winter...
The best place to start when it comes to glowing, hydrated skin is always from the inside. It is less tempting in winter to keep sipping on water but it’s so important that we do. Keeping up our intake of filtered water (2L a day beauties) will do wonders for you skin, but don’t feel limited to cold glasses of water. Herbal teas and nourishing elixirs are a great way to keep you hydrated and to boost your systems with herbal and antioxidant goodness.

The Beauty Chef HYDRATION Inner Beauty Boost
A way to make staying hydrated easier is to use supplements like this hydration elixir from The Beauty Chef. Not only will this make your water taste delicious, but it uses coconut water, aloe vera and probiotics to support the gut and to nourish the skin from the inside out.
Edible Beauty Tea No. 2 – Fountain of Youth
This herbal tea is rich in Hibiscus, Pineapple and Papaya, as well as Rosehip which is rich in Vitamic C and improves circulation to hydrate the skin and promote healing of cells in the body. This tea is called Fountain of Youth for the anti-ageing and anti-inflammatory benefits of these ingredients which are a great support for dry winter skin.
Amazonia Raw Prebiotic Vitamin C
Vitamin C is your best friend in winter and that goes for your skin as well. This supplement uses Acerola, Camu Camu, Baobab, Gubinge and Rosehip to boost your Vitamic C levels which will support collagen production.
