A little about you? I cook, eat and write with colour… but mostly eat. I dig sunrises, full moons, crochet and crystals and I pride myself on my inability to define myself in one sentence :)

A little about The Inspired Table? The Inspired Table is built on the philosophies of mindfulness. I believe that food should be a source of nourishment and enjoyment, but for so many it is a source of stress and anxiety. Through my coaching, cooking workshops and 7-Day Eating Guides my aim is to help heal people’s complicated relationship with food.

When do you feel most beautiful and why? Nothing makes you feel more beautiful than when you’re blissfully happy. There’s a lightness, an ease, a grace that comes with happiness that nobody has figured out how to bottle yet. I can’t quite describe it, but it’s more than just the smile on your face… it’s an energetic shift.

Your favourite Beauty Foods?

Bone broth for its rich collagen and protein content. It has countless health benefits but what it does for the elasticity of the skin, and strength of hair and nails is truly wonderous.

Spirulina: I take spirulina daily. Either in tablet form or by adding it to my green smoothies. It actually makes your skin glow.

Avocado: I freakin’ love the stuff. I guess the good fats and Vitamin E are just a bonus. I add it to smoothies, spread it on toast, pop it in salads and I’ve even started cutting into cubes and putting it on my vegetable soups (you must try it).

Your favourite natural beauty product and why?

I would have to say coconut oil. I use it for everything (including cooking). My favourite use though is as a moisturiser. I find if I put it on after the shower it doesn’t absorb well. So, I started applying it in a hot shower. The hot steam helps it absorb in to the skin and you’re beautifully moisturised even after you wash it off with water.

A delish beauty food recipe…

Skin Hydrating Smoothie

1 cup coconut water
½ cup coconut milk
½ avocado
1 cup baby spinach
½ a frozen mango, cubed
½ cup mint leaves
juice of ½ a lime
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
1 teaspoon spirulina powder

1. Pop all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.

NATURAL BEAUTY REVIEW

I have always been open to using natural make up, and it’s definitely the next step in my beauty regime (my skin care and hair products are already natural), but if I’m being completely honest the little self-confessed product junkie in the back of my head never thought they could stack up in terms of coverage and endurance like their chemical laden counterparts. I know, ridiculous!

Then I received my Beautiful Because delivery and I’m almost a full natural beauty convert (I still need to find a good night time foundation and a mascara).

Madara Tinting Fluid

I don’t wear much make up during the day, but this product felt like I was wearing nothing at all and it gave my skin a beautiful even tone. And the best bit? It smells like freshly cut grass -  you can smell all of the beautiful and natural botanicals. A great alternative to tinted moisturiser that lasts the whole day.

Karen Murrell Lipstick

I don’ t like lipstick, because I find it dries my lips out and I always end up rubbing it of. This Karren Murrel lipstick felt like wearing a lip balm and the colour was the best pale pink I’ve come across. I can’t wait to try some of the other colours in the range.

Axilla Chicken Paste

I have to admit this deodorant scared me when I first saw it; I didn’t think it was going to be able to do its job. But not only did it get me through a hot yoga class, it lasted the entire day. I didn’t love that it was a paste that I had to spread on myself, but I could easily let that go considering what an amazing job it did preventing sweat and odour. I would definitely recommend this product to peeps looking for a natural deodorant that actually works!
